Help

Will God help me when I'm in trouble?  Yes, and you'll find it in the Bible, Psalm 46:1, TLB. "God is our refuge and strength, a tested help in times of trouble."

God will hear your cry for help.  Even though it sometimes seems like God has not heard or answered, you can believe that He is near and listening and acting.  See it in Psalm 22:24, NIV.  "For he has not despised or disdained the suffering of the afflicted one; he has not hidden his face from him but has listened to his cry for help."

If I believe God has given me the gift of helps, how am I to use it?  Find out by looking in 1 Peter 4:11, TLB.  "Are you called to help others? Do it with all the strength and energy that God supplies so that God will be glorified through Jesus Christ…".

Helping others just as much as I take care of myself is a command of God.  Look in James 2:8, TLB "You must love and help your neighbors just as much as you love and take care of yourself."

A good way to remember each time God has helped you with is to write a word on a rock to remind you of the event of how God has heard your prayer and helped you.  Look in 1 Samuel 7:12, TLB to see what Samuel did.  "Samuel then took a stone.. and named it Ebenezer (meaning, "the Stone of Help"), for he said, "The Lord has certainly helped us!"
