Memorizing Bible verses will help to keep you from sin.  You’ll find it in Psalm 119:11, TLB. "I have thought much about Your words, and stored them in my heart so that they would hold me back from sin."

Is there an example in the Bible of someone who did this?  Jesus is the best example. You’ll find the story in Matthew 4. 

Look in Matthew 4:10, TLB.  "Get out of here, Satan," Jesus told him. "The Scriptures say, 'Worship only the Lord God. Obey only him.'"
