Peace

How can I find peace? If you look in the Bible, Job 22:21, TLB. "Quit quarreling with God. Agree with Him and you will have peace at last. His favor will surround you if you will only admit that you were wrong."

Peace is making things right with God. It’s in the Bible, Romans 5:1, TLB. "So now, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith in His promises, we can have real peace with Him because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us."

Has God given us a gift of peace?. Yes, He has, and it is offered in the Bible, John 14:27, TLB. "I am leaving you with a gift--peace of mind and heart! And the peace I give isn’t fragile like the peace the world gives. So don’t be troubled or afraid."

I have asked for the Holy Spirit to live in my heart. Will that bring peace as a result? Look in the Bible in Galatians 5:22-23, NIV. “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.”

Do I receive peace when I obey God’s law? It’s in the Bible, Psalm 119:165, NIV. "Great peace have they who love Your law, and nothing can make them stumble."

How can I go to sleep at night if I don’t have peace? Psalm 4:8, NIV. “I will lie down and sleep in peace, for you alone, O LORD, make me dwell in safety.”

Once I find peace, how do I keep it? The answer is in the Bible, Isaiah 26:3-4, TLB. "He will keep in perfect peace all those who trust in Him, whose thoughts turn often to the Lord! Trust in the Lord God always, for in the Lord Jehovah is your everlasting strength."

Can happiness come from working for peaceful relationships? Look in the Bible, Matthew 5:9, TLB. "Happy are those who strive for peace--they shall be called sons of God."
