Can't you see that he has been waiting all this time without punishing you, to give you time to turn from your sin? His kindness is meant to lead you to repentance.”

God’s tolerance is patience, waiting for me to come to Him. See it for yourself in 2 Peter 3:9, NIV. “The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.”

Does God want me to be tolerant and patient of others as well? Look in Ephesians 4:1-2. NIV. “Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.

Does that tolerance have to be of everyone, regardless? Look in 1 Thessalonians 5:14-15, NIV, and you’ll know. “And we urge you, brothers, warn those who are idle, encourage the timid, help the weak, be patient with everyone.”
